2nd wave of contributions to the fight against #COVID19 by TESDA personnel and partners in Region I.

TESDA One mobilized to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 while observing enhanced community quarantine measures such as staying at home and working from home, among others. Some have volunteered to quarantine themselves at the office and at the training centers away from their families to keep working and keep contributing.

Employees and trainers of Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades (PSAT), Pangasinan Technological Institute (PTI), Luciano Millan Memorial School of Arts and Trades (LMMSAT), Rosales Skills Training Center (RSTC), Bangui Institute of Technology (BIT), Marcos Agro-Industrial School (MAIS), Provincial Training Center - Pangasinan (PTC-Pangasinan), PTC - Agoo in La Union, PTC - Candon in Ilocos Sur, the Regional Training Center (RTC), the Provincial Offices and the Regional Office produced face masks and face shields for COVID-19 frontliners in Region I. TESDA One was able to contribute mini organic farm produce to uniformed personnel in the frontlines and several beds to medical workers of 2 hospitals so they will have a more comfortable resting and sleeping set-up, as there are medical workers who decided to stay at their hospitals for several days straight per week just to keep fighting this deadly virus.

With challenges on resources, manpower, and manpower movement, as of 5 PM this date since the start of the enhanced community quarantine, TESDA One managed to contribute 4,186 face masks, 185 face shields, 34 beds, and some food products. For purposes of observing quarantine measures, "face mask donation pick-up booths" such as the one set-up at BIT in Ilocos Norte are where exempted national government and local government unit authorities collect TESDA's contributions for distribution to frontliners. Some frontliners pick the contributions up from our field offices, some pick them up from the houses of our personnel who have been working on face masks and face shields at home, and some of our personnel turn the contributions over to frontliners as they pass by checkpoints and the work stations of frontliners while on exempted travel involving maintenance of TESDA mini organic farms for provision of food and bank transactions. Salute to all frontliners! Mabuhay po kayo! #BeatCOVID19 #WeHealAsOne #TESDAAbotLahat #WeAreJuanTESDAOne
